She acknowledges that she has been entrusted with much, And is therefore is committed to giving back to her community.
An entrepreneur she is President of Moore & Associates , an advocate for Voters Rights, HIV/AIDS In the African American Community, as Social Action Chair for 2006-2008 her Sorority was recognized by the African American Aids Alliance for their continued advocacy for HIV/AIDS in the Tucson Community. Wanda was Name “Phenomenal Woman 2006” by the University of AZ Black Alumni for her outstanding community work. She established a scholarship for minority students at the U of A. She was appointed to the Arizona State Personnel Board, by Governor Janet Napolitano in March 2003. The Board oversees appeals filed by permanent employees who have been dismissed, from state service, suspended for more than 40 hours or demoted resulting from disciplinary action. She served as chair and worked on the board for four years. She was appointed to the Arizona State Bar Commission on Character & Fitness in January 2007 for a seven year term. Wanda is the current president of the Tucson Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Delta Sigma Theta is the largest National Organization of college Educate Women committed to public service work.
Additionally she has served on the Board of the Tucson Urban League, Community Foundation Of Southern AZ, Sahuaro Girls Scouts Nominating Committee, University of Arizona Sarver Heart Education Committee, Habitat for Humanity Women Build program, Executive Leadership Chair for the 2006 American Heart Association Go Red for Women Campaign. supports and works with the Southern Arizona Aids Foundation and the University of AZ Black Alumni. In 2005 she received recognition for Excellence in Social Action, Civic Responsibility, Advocacy, Coalition Building and Contribution to Public Policy & Service in the Farwest Region.

Prior to starting her own business Wanda was Corporate Director of Materials Management, Carondelet Health Network. The Network consists of three hospitals and the Carondelet Medical Group of Physician Practices. Her responsibilities included the management of the Purchasing department, Warehouse and Inventory, the SPD’s Departments, Sterile Processing, Asset Management, Patient Transportation, Contracts and Equipment Maintenance Management.
The work encompassed administrative leadership, personnel management and supervision, the training, coordination and management of 150 staff members, developing, interpreting and implementing policies, contract review & negotiations capital acquisition, inventory management market trends analysis, forecasting, and budget planning. Utilization of excellent communication skills both verbal and written , proven ability to reduce cost in the supply chain, advocate for change, builds motivates and enable teams to reach performance goals. Wanda is the wife of Jimmy D Moore Raytheon Missile Systems mother of three children, grandmother of one, community activist, active in her church Faith Community of Tucson. She enjoy teaching, writing, reading bowling and especially the game of golf. Her educational portfolio include degrees in Sociology, Personnel Management, Business Administration, Public Administration,Human Resource Management Certification, Certified Purchasing Managers, Accredited Purchasing Practitioner, Certified Notary Signing Agent and the study of Contract Law.
